Chootad Beach

Located near Pazhayangadi and Payyannur, two major towns of Kannur, Choottad has the Ezhimala mountains, at a height of 286ft, as the backdrop. The beach park has many rides for children apart from ice cream parlours and snack shacks around the park. Choottad is best recommended in the evenings for a spectacular view of the beach which shares its borders with the sea on one side and the backwaters on the other. Choottad remains a relatively unexplored location. Boating and kayaking facilities are also available.
